Designing for B2B air charter

Aug 2019 - Aug 2021
During my time at Avinode we were a team of 4-5 UX designers, distributed across 3 different products, and 2 continents. I mainly worked with our core product called Avinode Marketplace.

Highlights of this generalist UX/UI role was the close contact with end users and the a heavy focus on UX research. I enjoyed working across the pond with our US office where my UX manager was located, and half of the product team.

Tools frequently used: Sketch, Figma, Miro, EnjoyHQ, Invision, Lookback, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, Jira and Confluence.

Helicopter search

The helicopter search engine allows brokers to find helicopters within a radius of an airport, and request those for a certain leg or several legs of a trip. The main purpose of the initiative was to upgrade the experience of the helicopter search page from an old code base and provide UI/UX improvements to the overall workflow.

I was using our Sketch design system components to create cosistency with other parts of the product as well as creating new components for future use. The project was usability tested remotely with targeted users to provide feedback. The design work was done using Sketch, Abstract, Invision, Zoom and Google analytics.
